The cubbon park police have detained a head constable who stage a protest in front of Raj Bhavan demanding the government to withdraw the suspension of the city police commissioner.
The Head Constable identified as Narasimharaju A, working with Madiwala station walked to Raj Bhavan in uniform carrying Dr.Ambedkar portrait and staged a protest demanding the government to withdraw the suspension order.
He also in displayed a letter written on a white sheet of paper demanding security for the police personnel deployed for duty.
The Raj Bhavan security detained him and handed over to cubbon park police.The police have taken him to the station along with the photo and return material,recorded his statment and released him on station bail.
The police have also informed the Southeast division DCP about the constables protest which according to a senior police officer is violation under service rules.
Many police personnel working in the city has voiced their anguish over the suspension of senior police officers including city police commissioner,fearing that they will also be punished for performing security duty at the chinnaswamy stadium.
