Bengaluru Stampede Tragedy:RCB, DNA Entertainment Networks,And KSCA booked Over Stampede

Hours after the stampede incident, the Cubbon park police have registered an FIR against RCB franchise, DNA entertainment private limited and KSCA entertainment private limited on Thursday charging them under culpable homicide and other serious charges .

Based on the complaint filed by Girish AK,Police Inspector of Cubbon park station, the police charges the accused under section 105 ( culpable homicide )115 (voluntary causing hurt)118 ( voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt by dangerous means) 190 ( liability of members of an unlawful assembly for offenses ) 132 (  crime of assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from performing their duty) ad 125 ( endanger human life or personal safety due to recklessness or negligence).

According to the complaint,the police have made elaborate security in and around the stadium on Tuesday night where thousands of fans gathered to celebrate the RCB victory in the final match.

On Tuesday at around 6 pm,. the KSCA chief executive officer Shubendu Ghosh,has submitted a requisition to the police to organize victory celebration on Wednesday, which has ben denied considering the security reasons and traffic problem.

However the management announced about the program on social media inviting people for the program.

Taking cognisance of this,an emergency meeting was arranged to discuss about the security measures and traffic arrangements and roped in additional force for the security .

Necessary security has also been arranged at the Vidhana soudha grand steps for the felicitation program and getting the cricket team from HAL airport to Taj west End hotel to Vidhana Soudha premises .

Meanwhile lakhs of people gathered at the stadium for the program and the crowd became uncontrollable due to the confusion of organizers on how to allow the people into the stadium which has a seating capacity of around 35,000.

Due to this more gates have ben opened to allow the crowd which lead to stampede and commotion.
As many as 11 people killed and 64 people injured along with few police personnel .

The police have to struggle hard to contain the crowd and brought the unruly mob to control to prevent further untoward incidents.

The incident occurred due to mismanagement and not taking proper and timely decision and hence liable for the incident.
