As part of reorganization and restructuring the jurisdictional limits of the Bengaluru city in the wake of growing demographical area,the state police chief asked the city police commissioner to include three police stations into the city police limits fold .
The three stations including Avalahalli and Hebbagodi from Bengaluru district and Kumbalagodu from Ramanagara district,will now be part of the West and south Divisions of the city and function under the supervision of the City Police Commissioner.
According to an official order from the Director General and Inspector General of Police,Dr.MA Saleem,said that the above-mentioned three Police Stations,along with existing staff should be handed over by the respective heads and taken over immediately.
“The existing staff of these Police Stations from CPCs to PSIS will continue to work in the same place on an OOD basis from Bengaluru and Ramanagara districts to Bengaluru city police for one month,within which they should be replaced by staff of Bengaluru city police,the order stated .
Additionally,as per Government notifications, re-organisation of jurisdiction through inclusion and exclusion of villages to the jurisdiction of Bengaluru City police and Bengaluru and Ramanagara districts has also been ordered,and the same should also be implemented immediately,” he added.
Mr.Saleem also directed the Bengaluru police commissioner and IGP Central Range to comply by June 6.
