The Kadugodi police have arrested a 28-year-old Dance teacher for sexually harassing a minor girl on the pretext of dropping her home in a car on May 24.
The accused Bharathi Kannan was arrested under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act based on the complaint filed by the parents of the victim and remanded to judicial custody.
The victim was returning home from the class when the accused confronted her in a car and introducing himself as dance teacher offered to provide information about dance classes.
He convinced the girl to get into the car,locked the doors and drove to a secluded area where he allegedly sexually harassed her.
After the incident,he dropped her off at the same spot where he had picked her up.The victim reached home and narrated the ordeal with her parents .
Shocked parents rushed to the station and filed a complaint.The police swung into action and arrested the accused.
