A special team of police from Southeast Division crack down on Central prison of Parappana Agrahara and seized banned items from the inmates during surprise checks.
Based on intel inputs the team of officials formed several teams and conducted searches at the different barracks and recovered two mobile phones,an induction stove cash Rs.16,500 and four knives .
This banned items have been recovered from inmates despite multi level security checks,a senior police officer who is part of the raid,said.
A complaint has been filed with the Parappana Agrahara police in this regard based on which the prison officials of the central prison,officials of the Karnataka state Industrial Security Force deployed for the security at the prison have been booked along with three convicted from whom the banned items have been seized .
The raids indicated yet again that despite tight security and increased vigil by installation of advanced jammers, the mobile phones are being operated unabated .
