Illegal videos of women traveling in Bengaluru Metro: Banashankari Police file FIR against Instagram account Metro_Chicks

The Banashankari police in South Bengaluru have registered a Suo Motu case after an Instagram account posted videos of women on the Bengaluru Metro that were captured without permission went viral .

An FIR has been booked in this regard at Banashankari Police Station and investigation is taken up,Lokesh B Jagalasar,Deputy Commissioner of Police (South),said on city police social media account on Wednesday responding to a users.

The videos of the women were posted by the account named metro_chicks, having 5,948 followers.

The videos shared on Instagram were recorded without the women’s consent.

Soon after social media uproar the objectionable videos were deleted and police are working to suspend the account .

Efforts are on to track down the account holder .
