The Vyyalikaval police on Tuesday arrested a 45-year-old car driver of a charted accountant who stole Rs.1.51 Crore cash from his employer’s office and escaped to his native on May 6 .
Senior officer told reporters that Rajesh was working as driver for the last five years and staying with his family at Vyyalikaval .
On May 6,his employer had collected from his clients for tax payment,gave it to Rajesh to keep it in the car.
Instead Rajesh escaped with the cash and kept it at home and some of the money he has spent and even paid donations at the temple .
Based on the complaint the police track down Rajesh and recovered the remaining Rs.1.48 crore from him.
The police said Rajesh did not have any previous cases and decided to steal the money as he wanted to settle in life with the stolen money .
