In a swift action the Madiwala police arrested a 26-year-old recovery agent of a private bank for allegedly murdering his neighbour by smashing his head with a brick over a drunken brawl at the terrace of the house on Friday night .
The deceased identified as Martin Simon,28,IT company employee who stayed on the second floor of the building in Venkateshwara Layout,while the accused,Infant Raj , lived on the ground floor of the same building.
Senior officer told reporters,the duo was friends and drinking partners used to have party in the terrace often.
On Friday night the duo as usual went to have drinks and had an argument over buying more liquor.In the melee Infant Raj allegedly smashed Simon’s head with a cement brick and fled the scene .
Few residents saw Infant raj running away after commotion and went to check in the terrace to find Martin lying dead in a pool of blood and immediately alerted the police.
Based on the statement,the Madiwala police have registered a case of murder and track down Infant Raj within few hours of the crime .
Even though Infant confessed that he killed over trivial row over buying more liquor,the police further investigating to ascertain if their are any other reason.
