A pillion rider was killed and the rider injured when a speeding car knocked down their scooter at Poojenahalli gate in Devanahalli traffic police station limits on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Velu,50,resident of KGF,working at a private firm.He was returning home along with his colleague Ananth,riding the scooter.
The duo found severely injured and passers-by rushed them to near-by hospital where Velu was declared as brought dead. Ananth was critical and being treated .
The Devanahalli traffic police have registered a case of hit and run and efforts are on to track down the car.
In another incident,two people killed and another injured when the motorcycle they were riding lost control and crashed into roadside tree near Gundammana gate in Doddaballapura on Thursday night .
The deceased have been identified as Rakshith,30, bike rider and Venkatesh,28 who was riding pillion.The second pillion rider is also injured critically and admitted to the hospital.
The trio are working in a Market in Doddaballapura and returning home after work.The Doddaballapura police have taken up a case of self accident against the rider charging him under rash and negligent riding and are investigating further .
