The KS layout police have tracked a group of three people who assaulted professor of a private college for objecting to dumping of garbage on the roadside on April 21.
The accused have been identified as Bhanuprasad,26, Sharath,23 and Amruth Kumar,24 working as driver and private firm employees.
The victim Aravind Gupta,was riding scooter to work when he noticed them throwing garbage on roadside .
He raised objection which enraged the trio and assaulted him.
Mr.Gupta went to the hospital for treatment before approaching the police.
The KS layout police registered a case of hurt and visited the scene of crime but there were no CCTV footage available in and around .
The police inquired with the shopkeepers gathered information about the design and colour of car and followed the trail on the directions which the car headed.
After verifying over 50 CCTV footage the police got a breakthrough and identified the registration number which helped them to track down the accused.
The accused confessed that humiliating them in public led them to attack the professor .
The accused have been booked under a hurt case and taken into custody for Further investigation, a senior officer,said.
