he East division police In a swift action in record time after the video went viral on various social media platforms have arrested Eleven youths and seized 7 bikes who were performing dangerous bike stunts and brandishing or flashing swords in public to create fear psychosis among road users.
The video put up on social media went viral promoting East division police to analyse videos and track down the accused.
The accused has been identified as nayeen pasha, Arafat,Sahil,Nanjamat and adnan and other six.
The police have booked them under arms act and various sections of Motor vehicle act and seized seven bikes the others involved in the act are on the run efforts are on to secure them.
Senior officer said,we stepped up vigil to track down a gang of two wheelers riders who armed with lethal weapons performing bike stunts on KR Puram flyover , creating fear psychosis among the road users .
The entire act was videographed and shared on social media where bikers riding triple without number plates and helmets flashing machettes and daggers in the air .
The police of both traffic and law and order Division formed a special team and after verifying the videos to identify the accused they tracked them using other technical support and arrested totally five miscreants first in the night and based on their confession in a midnight operation took place by DCP East,D Devaraja and his team managed to nab other six totally 11 miscreants and seized 7 bikes and booked them under arms act and investigations is on.
Usually the traffic police put up check points at the strategic locations of ring roads and flyover during special drive.
While the Hoysala team patrol of this area.
However the accused would perform bike stunts between the wee hours where the police presence on this roads are relatively less .
The bikers continue to perform stunts to make reels and put up the videos on their social media account select flyovers and rings roads across the city.
It may be recalled that the Kamakshipalya traffic police last week in a special drive booked as many as ten bikers performing wheeling .
While many of them abandoned their bikes and escaped the police are trying to track them down through the registration numbers.
