City Police Commissioner B Dayananda including Senior Police Officers Go On Bengaluru City Night Rounds After Bank Robbery In Bidar and Mangaluru

ity Police Commissioner,B.Dayananda along with all the senior police officials patrolled the city,become station house officer of selected stations and interacted with the staff and the people who visited the station.

The drill was as part of the security review taken up across the city In response to a recent two bank robberies occurred in Bidar and Mangaluru.

The operation,which took place on Saturday night,aimed to restore public confidence and deter further criminal activities and to get updates of the existing security measures and patrolling system to discuss ways and means to improve upon it,a senior police officer,said .

Patrolling teams were strategically deployed across high-risk areas identified through previous incidents and community reports.

Officers conducted door-to-door interactions in select neighborhoods,encouraging residents to report suspicious activities and adopt safety measures such as improved lighting and secure locks.

In addition to patrolling, police checked on commercial establishments,including late-night stores and ATMs, ensuring their security arrangements were intact.

Specific attention was paid to poorly lit areas,isolated streets,and locations with a history of criminal activity.

The safety of our residents is our utmost priority. This night patrolling and security review are part of our proactive measures to curb the rising number of robberies.

We are committed to enhancing surveillance and ensuring a safe environment for everyone,a senior policer officer part of the night patrolling security review initiative,said .

City police commissioner,B.Dayananada,who led the initiative drove the patrolling vehicle,interacted with the staff and people visited the station after taking over as charge of Sadashivanagar police station from 1 am to 4 am.

The other senior police officials followed his leads and took over each police station strategically across the city.

We have noted down some of the points for improvements in patrolling and security cover which will be improvised soon,the officer, said.

Similar exercise has been carried out in the central range covering Bengaluru district,Tumakuru,Chikkaballapura, Kolar, KGF and other districts .

While the senior police officials conducted night patrolling for the security audit,the station in charge officials conducted a meeting with the bank officials and cash management companies to discuss about security review and coordination, Inspector General of Police,Labhu Ram,told media persons.
