42-year-old homeguard hacked his wife,daughter and niece to death over domestic row at his house in Jalahalli cross before walking into the police station in Peenya on Wednesday Evening .
The accused identified as Ganga Raju was working as a home guard at Hebbagodi police station.The deceased have been identified as Bhagya,36,their daughter,Navya, 19,and her elder sister’s daughter Hemavati,23.
Senior officer said, that Ganga Raju used to have frequent fights suspecting her wife.He used to come home drunk and fight .
Wife wanted to visit the temple and invited Hemavathi the couple had a fight on Wednesday morning and neighbours alerted Hoysala who visited the couple and pacified.
Dallappa,a neighbour said that the Gangaraju is alcoholic used to come home drunk and fight with wife .
It was a daily affair and we never used to intervene,he said .
Senior police officials after Gangaraju walked into the station and confessed to the killing,rushed to the house and found one body in bathroom and two of them in hall.
The murder was so brutal that he had hacked wife into pieces and separated the parts.
The whole house was splattered with blood.
Senior officials as Addl CP West,Vikash Kumar Vikas with other officers and SOC officers visited the spot and conducted investigation.
He said Upon receiving information,our patrolling team immediately rushed to the scene and found the three women dead,with sharp weapon injuries.
We arrested Gangaraju, who works as a home guard, at the location,”said Additional Police Commissioner, Bengaluru West, Vikash Kumar Vikas told reporters.
Kumar added that after the crime,Gangaraju surrendered to the police, carrying the weapon.The motive behind the murders remains unclear and will be determined after further interrogation, he said.
The house owner,where Gangaraju’s family had been residing as tenants for the past five years, reported that an argument had occurred earlier on the day of the incident.
Domestic row could be the reason the deceased hailed from Nelamangala and stayed in a rented house for the last six years.
The police have taken Gangaraju into custody and probing further to ascertain the exact cause of the triple murder.
