Four minor children sustained injuries while four others including the care taker escaped narrowly when part of the Anganwadi centre ceiling collapsed on them in Dasanahosahalli in Bangarapet
taluk on Saturday.
The injured Lasya Likhitha and another girl with multiple fracture injuries admitted to Bangarapet government hospital for treatment .
Senior officer told reporters that there were six children out of 12 present at the centre when the incident occurred.The ceiling of the centre was old and in dilapidated condition.
MLA SS Narayanaswamy along with the officials visited the hospital and later to the spot to inspect the centre.
He ordered the officials to conduct an audit of all the centres and take immediate restoration work to prevent further damages.
Taking a strong exception on the negligence part of the caretaker of the centre for failing to inform about the condition of the center,Mr.Narayanaswamy ordered the officials to conduct a detailed probe and take strict action against her.
Villagers vent their ire on the authorities concerned for negligent the anganwadi centre and demanded immediate repair work .
