15-year-old girl,was killed due to severe head injuries when a wooden pole from an under construction building fell on her in VV Puram on Saturday.
The deceased Tejeswini,daughter of Sudhakara Rao, resident of KG Nagar pursuing 10th standard Vasavi Vidya Niketana while her father working as driver at a private firm .
The incident occurred on NHS road near National college metro station when she was returning from school.
A part of the wooden pole supporting the scaffolding crashed on her from 6th floor.
She sustained severe head injuries and collapsed on the ground.passers-by rushed her to the victoria hospital from where she was referred to NIMHANS where she succumbed to her injuries later.
The parents blamed the negligence on part of the owner of the under construction building and the engineer for the incident .
It was a busy area and lots of people including children use the road.The VV Puram police visited the spot and took stock of the situation.
The police are awaiting for the parents complaint to further the investigation.The victim was a meritorious students and also very active in extra curricular activities,Parvathy,aunt of the victim said adding that she was also student of “Appu dance Academy”and participated in many cultural activities .
The police have cordoned the area and directed the people in the building to ensure safety of the pedestrians and put up the safety net around the building to as precautionary measure .
