Amaravathi: Work fair in the capital with Rs. 2,323 crore

As part of the reconstruction of Amaravati, the government called for tenders for several works on the first day of the new year.

CRDA, ADC call for tenders

 Amaravati: As part of the reconstruction of Amaravati, the government invited tenders for several works on the first day of the new year. CRDA and Amaravati Development Corporation (ADC) separately invited tenders on Wednesday for five works to be undertaken in the capital with a loan from the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The works worth Rs. 2,323.25 crore have been initiated. Bids have been invited for the creation of infrastructure in two LPS zones under the auspices of CRDA and the remaining works in the residential complexes of MLAs, MLCs and All India Service officers. The opportunity to submit tenders has been given till 2 pm on the 22nd of this month. The technical bids will be opened at 4 pm on the same day. The ADC has called tenders for flood control and trunk infra works. 

  • In a part of Nekkalu, Zone 1A of the capital city, construction of roads, drinking water supply, drains, electricity, construction of ducts for laying internet cables, avenue plantation and other works will be undertaken in LPS layouts at a cost of Rs. 448.32 crore. 
  • In some parts of the LPS layouts in Nekkallu and Sakhamuru in Zone 1B area, construction of drinking water pipelines, greenery development, construction of ducts for drinking water, sewage and electricity cables will be undertaken. Tenders have been invited for this at a cost of Rs. 588.04 crore. 
  • Electricity, plumbing, sanitary ware, security, fire fighting system, etc. will be installed in 18 towers related to the residential complexes of MLAs, MLCs and All India Service officers at a cost of Rs. 434.32 crore. 
  • The remaining flood control works at Neerukonda Reservoir will be undertaken at a cost of Rs. 470.75 crore. The deadline for submitting bids has been extended to the 22nd.
  • Tenders worth Rs 381.82 crore have been invited for the remaining roads, rainwater diversion drains, pedestrian paths, cycle tracks, greenery development, street lights and other works in the capital. The deadline for these has been given till the 23rd of this month.
