hilling three-month-old murder case has come to light in Doddaballapur’s rural area,where a man was allegedly killed by his friends over a financial dispute.
The accused initially buried the victim but later exhumed the body and burnt it to destroy evidence.
The victim,identified as Devraj,62,was reportedly missing on October 17 by his family after he failed to return from work.Following their complaint,the police launched an investigation,eventually uncovering the crime.
The murder occurred similar to thriller movie Drishyam the accused and deceased are friends,deceased a realtor was lured by accused to get into second hand car business and taken 20 lakh from him.
The accused started avoiding the deceased following which he started pestering them to return the money.
Unable to bear his pressure the accused decided to eliminate him,as per the plan the called deceased to on a business deal and strangled him to death.
The accused later buried the body in the accused site after six months,when the body started to decompose and smell eminated the accused dug up the body again and burnt it using petrol and dumped the remains in a lake.
The accused even accompanied the deceased family to the station to file a missing complaint however,based on the last call the police zeroed on the accused and a detailed questioning led them to confess.
The Doddaballapur rural police on Friday recovered the remain of the body which was dumped in a lake in a plastic drum.
