Gang of three men arrested by Bydarahalli police for honey trapping civil contractor & extorted gold chain and cash

he Byadarahalli police on Monday arrested a gang of three men who along with four others honey trapped and extorted a 57-year-old civil contractor at the house of one of their woman associate who is part of the gang on December 9.

DCP,West,Girish S,told reporters that the accused Satish, Ajay and Jayaraj were arrested while four others including the woman identified as Nayana is on the run, efforts are on to track them down.

The victim,Ranganath in his complaint said that he was introduced to the accused Nayana through her friend and even helped her few times financially.

She sought help citing medical emergency and Ranganath transferred the money couple of times .

On December 9,he met Nayana on the way to work at Tunga Nagar and she invited him home for a cup of tea.

Ranganath went to her her house and while having tea,a gang of seven men posing as crime team barged into the house and assaulted Ranganath accusing them of involved in Prostitution.

The accused forced Ranganath to disrobe and taken videos and robbed his gold chain,gold ring,mobile phone and cash Rs.27,000 from him.

The accused even forced him to transfer Rs.8,000 online and left the place along with Nayana on the pretext of questioning her.

Worried Ranganath returned home and called Nayana later to know about her and even suggested that she should come along with him to file a police complaint.

Refusing to come along with him to the station,Nayana threatened him with dire consequences and warned him that she would come to his house with her son and inform his family about their “relationship”.

Confirming that she is part of the Gang,Ranganath approached the police and filed a complaint with the Bydarahalli police on Monday.
