An Assistant Executive Engineer of Bengaluru Development authority filed a complaint against a man and his son for threatening and verbally abusing the officials to stop demolition of a residential structure built on the BDA site at OMBR layout in Ramamurthynagar on Friday .
The officials had issued oral instruction to stop the construction many times and got issued demolition order before seeking help from the jurisdictional Ramamurthynagar police .
Despite orders the accused and his associates,created ruckus,threatened and orally abuses the officials to stop the recovery of the encroachment.
Based on the complaint filed by Vasudevamurthy,the police have registered a complaint against Prabhakara Reddy,his son Abilash and friend Muthuraj charging them under section 132 (criminal force or assault against a public servant while they are performing their duties) 351 (Criminal intimidation) and section 352 (intentional insult to provoke breach of peace) against them.
In his complaint,Mr.Vasudevamurthy,said that the the site in question belonged to BDA and the accused was constructing on the site despite several reminders .
A report was submitted to the higher officials and got issued a demolition order to recover the encroached property on Nove .
The officials on Friday along with the vigilance officials informed the local police and went to the site with JVC to carry out the recovering process .
The accused came to the site and stopped the process by threatening the officials and verbally abused them.
Countering the allegation,Prabhakar Reddy on thursday had filed a complaint against BDA officials for trespass and damaging his property .
Reddy in his complaint said that he had a site which BDA claimed ownership and the case is pending before the court.
Meanwhile the officials on thursday along with the JCB trespassed into his property and demolished part of his structure.When Reddy confronted them they threatened and verbally abused him .
JCB driver slapped :
Meanwhile alleging police intervention and highhandedness is being circulated on social media , where jurisdictional ACP,Umashankar stopped the demolition drive and later slapped the JCB driver .
The ACP seen in the video,warning the BDA officials to stop the demolition and slapped the JCB driver to take away the vehicle key and instructed his junior staff to clear the mess which is obstructing the traffic .
However the BDA officials did not mention this incident in the complaint filed with the jurisdictional police .
Reacting to the incident,city police commissioner, B. Dayananda said that a complaint and counter complaint has been registered in this regard.The matter is under investigation,he added.
