Foreign National Drug peddler arrested by CCB recovered MDMA crystal worth Rs.77 lakhs

Officials of the Central Crime Branch on Friday arrested a 36-year-old Ivory coast national and recovered 515 grams of MDMA crystals worth Rs.77 lakh from him.

Based on a tip off,a team of officials caught the accused near RR college railway gate in Soladevanahalli,red handed while he was waiting for his customers to deliver the drugs .

Inquiries revealed that the accused had come to India in 2017 on business visa and started peddling drugs.He would source the drugs from his contacts from neighbouring state and sell it to his clients ranging from Rs.12,000 to Rs.15,000 per gram .

Earlier the CCB had busted a racket and booked two peddlers who were peddling drugs through whatsapp and using logistic portals to supply drugs to their clients on Last Wednesday .

Based on the tip off,a team of officials from Anti Narcotics Wing,raided the house in KS Layout and caught Fayis M,native of Kerala and his associated Ameer Khan for peddling hydro ganja,MDMA and ecstasy pills to their clients.

The accused had a whatsapp group containing the clients to allow them to place orders.The accused had even had a bank account in the name of Arpitha to receive the payments .

The accused would use Dunzo and porter logistic service to supply the drugs to hoodwink the police,officer with the ANW,probing the case,said .

The accused according to the official has a network of peddlers to sell the drugs,which is being investigated .
