In yet another attack on BMTC staff,the SJ Park police has arrested a 32-year-old mechanic for attacking the bus and assaulting the BMTC bus driver over road rage in the middle of the busy corporation circle on Tuesday.
The accused identified as Mujahid,32,a resident of Kalasipalya was heading riding scooter along with the tools towards city market.
According to the police,the BMTC bus driver brushed off against Mujahid’s two-wheeler.This prompted Mujahid to overtake the bus,stop the bus and attack the window on the driver’s seat.
Mujahid was caught by the driver and other passengers thrashed black and blue before he was handed over to the police .
Terming the incident as road rage,the SJ park police said that a case of assaulting public servant while on duty has been booked against Mujahid and will be produced before the court for further procedure said a senior officer.
