Illegal Bangladeshi Migrant Arrested In Bengaluru By Kadugodi police with the help of FRRO & ISD officials

The Kadugodi police with the help of Foreigners Regional Registration Officials and a team of Internal Security Division, arrested a 38-year-old Bangladesh National hiding in the city with different identity through fake documents .

The accused Ramzan Shaikh staying in the city for the last eight years working in a garbage segregation unit with his wife .

The accused was tracked down based on a missing complaint filed by his first wife stating that Ramzan had gone to India on Medical visa and did not return.

The officials track down the accused and arrested him. Probe revealed that Ramzan was arrested by Mahadevapura police in 2023 and sent him to detention centre .

However he managed to get fake documents including the Aadhar and voters ID from west bengal claiming that he is Indian Citizen and also got his Driving license using the fake documents.He got released based on this and continue to live with his second wife,the official, said .

However a missing complaint filed by his first wife from Bangladesh had exposed the racket based on which he was arrested .

The accused was charged under section 336(3),(using forged documents for cheating 340(2) (using forged documents as genuine ) and section 339 ( possession of forged documents ) of BNS and also under foreigners Act, for further investigation.

The police are now probing to ascertain the source where he obtained the IDs to claim Indian citizen.
