26-year-old woman has filed a complaint against her estranged husband accusing him of mental torture and blackmail with the private videos she had with her male friend.
Based on the complaint,the Byadarahalli police have registered a case against Prasanna,a private firm employee charging him under section 85 (cruelty against women by her husband and relatives) and also under various sections of IT act on Wednesday .
According to her,she married Prasanna in 2016 and soon after the marriage he started suspecting her and tortured her physically and mentally.
Unable to bear the torture she moved out and lived alone.During this period he came in contact with her male friend and the duo was in a relationship .
The duo as per the deal had recorded their private videos and stored them in their mobile phones.
She alleged that prasanna who got to know about this accessed the videos from her mobile and shared them with her family and friends to defame her.
When she confronted prasanna to question him,he threatened her with dire consequences and even warned that he would put up the private videos on social media.
The police are now summoned prasanna to appear for questioning.
