Garcetti said that the growing friendly relations between India and the US will contribute to the growth of strategic, economic, armed and cultural cooperation between the two countries. India, USA, Australia and Japan are members of the Quad Summit as a powerful platform for cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
“Quad Summit is a forum for discussion among member countries on vision, development, cooperation and problem solving. “We are actively working to create solutions to the Indo-Pacific issues,” Garcetti said.

During the conference, the leaders of the member states released a joint statement titled ‘Wilmington Declaration’. Quad said the strength of the four-nation alliance has increased from earlier. It has stated that it will adhere to the protection of human rights, rule of law, democratic values, sovereignty and territorial integrity and will not engage in the use of force through any international forum including the United Nations.
