he Chintamani rural police on Friday arrested a 50-year-old farmer for cultivating Ganja plants at his Tamato farm and recovered 44 kilos worth Rs.17.6 lakh.
Based on the information,a team of police raided his farm situated in Binganahalli cillage in the outskirts of Chintamani and seized 34 Ganja plants.
The accused Shrinivasa Seenappa confessed that he was growing and selling it to local peddlers for extra income.
The police have booked under under NDPS and taken him into custody to ascertain his network .
