19-year-old nursing student ended her life by jumping from the terrace of the sixth storeyed hostel building located close to the college in Chikkabanavara on Sunday.
The deceased Athulya G,native of Palakkad in Kerala was sitting at the parapet wall of the hostel terrace and chatting with other hostel mates at around 3 pm who are busy doing in the chores .
Some of the students noticed Athulya and advised her to get down minutes before she took the leap.She was rushed to a private hospital in the car where she succumbed to her injuries injuries around 10 p.m.
The Soladevanahalli police,who were alerted by the hospital authorities rushed to the spot and shifted the body for post mortem before registering a case of un natural death .
The police who spoke to the victim’s parents came to know that Athulya was finding it difficult to adjust to the college and wanted to return to Kerala.
The police are waiting to question the hostel inmates to ascertain if there is any foul play in the incident .
