Renukaswamy murder case:Fearing ire of Darshan fans, four accused will shift to Tumakuru jail court orders

Four among the 17 accused in Renukaswamy murder case who reportedly testified against Darshan and others have been shifted to Tumakuru district prison on security reasons on Monday.

The police have made a submission to the 25th additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court while submitting remand application citing that the accused in the case may face threat from Darshan and his associates at the prison.

The four accused identified as Karthik,Nikhil Nayak, Keshavamurthy and Ravishankar have been shifted to Tumakuru prison.

The accused have ferried the deceased from Chitradurga in a car and handed over to Darshan and Gang and later surrendered before the police claiming that they had murdered Renukaswamy after Darshan and others promised to give them money in return of taking the blame .

The accused later confessed before the police and also gave their statement before the magistrate against Darshan.

Since it was a crucial evidence against Darshan, he was agitated and possibility of attack,the police through the special public prosecutor made a submission to the court to shift the four accused .

Meanwhile Darshan and 13 others have lodged in the central prison of Parappana Agrahara .

On Monday,Darshan wife and Son visited him in prison. Darshan reportedly told them not to come often to see him and he will be come out soon.

Darshan was also visited by his advocates film actor Vinod Prabhakar and others .

senior police officer said that many Darshan fans have been abusing and threatening those who post content against the actor or those who have been arrested in the case.“We have received many complaints.

Kannada film actor Pratham who had received death threats has also registered a case.

We are now scanning social media to identify those who are issuing death threats.

In some cases,we have found that witnesses in the case were also threatened,” the officer said.
