CDR sale racket running illegally busted by CCB’s Women Protection Wing and arrested 10 operating under detective agency to probe matrimonial issues

The Women Protection Wing of the CCB on Wednesday busted illegal CDR sale racket and arrested seven people who are operating under detective agencies to probe matrimonial issues.

The accused has been identified as,Purshoutam,43,Thippeswamy GK,48,Mahantesh Gowda Patil,46,Revanth,25,Gurupadhaswamy,38,Prasanna Dattatreya Garuda,36,Rajashekhar,32, Sathish Kumar,39, Srinivas V,46,Bharath KB,28.

Bengaluru City Police Commissioner B Dayananda said,Based on a tip off,a team led by Soumya N, Police Inspector,of Central Crime Branch,Women Protection Wing raided Rajadhani corporate service,situated in Govindarajnagar and Basaveshwaranagar and arrested the owner Purushtoham and nine of his associates.

During investigation it was revealed that the accused have not taken license from the authority concerned to run the business and using their network accessed confidential Call record details of around 43 people to share it with anti social elements and with their contacts who have matrimonial disputes .

This racket also lead to possible involvement of police officials concerned .

According to the sources the telecom companies can not share CDR details until authorised by a senior police official concerned .

The officer concerned will be held responsible even there are any lapses for accessing the details.

Based on the complaint the Govindarajanagar police have registered an FIR against Purushotham and others charging them under IT Act,Indian Telegraph act , cheating and criminal breach of trust for further investigation.

City police commissioner B. Dayananda said that a detailed investigation has been ordered to ascertain the magnitude of the case and necessary action will be taken.
