Netizens appreciated Overworked Gud Samaritan Kamakshipalya Traffic Cops cleans gravel on city road for safety of general public

t was a hectic day for Kamakshipalya

traffic police as a team resorted to cleaning drive on the busy Shrigandha kaval to sumanahalli on Magadi road as a over load truck dropped gravel stones on the stretch posing threat to the road users on Sunday.

Following a series of complaint,the gravel stones coming under the moving wheels are being shot towards other vehicles and road users posing threat to their safety.

The kamakshipalya traffic inspector Yogesh and his team of police reached the spot and blocked the traffic from both the sides and started cleaning the gravels.

It took the police team over an hour to clean the road and ensure smooth movement of the traffic, a senior police officer, said .

According to the police the incident warrant action under section 184 Motor Vehicle Act defines a reckless act while driving.

This incident is purely an act of reckless driving on the part of that Heavy Goods Vehicle drivers .

They will put hazards on the road and create danger to other commuters while carrying construction material, he said .

Most of the trucks are found carrying construction material has been instructed to follow all safety norms and cover the trucks with tarpaulins.

The trucks are also banned from entering the city in day time to avoid untoward incident.However majority of the trucks carrying such material do not follow and drive recklessly, a senior officer,added.

Many drivers even if they were caught ready to pay a fine of ₹ 1,000 but do not follow the rules,he said.

The onus is on the traffic police deployed on such roads to ensure trucks moving in the night should follow safety norms .

Traffic constables on duty are unaccountable for any incident on the road and ensure free flow of traffic .

Even though cleaning clogged drains,removing uprooted branches and removing off-road vehicles has become responsibility of the traffic policemen on duty .

With their gud Samaritan work netizens on social media appreciated their work as after their overworked they had a hectic day in cleaning the gravel stone which was spread on whole stretch the team swung and cleared the gravel stone for the smooth flow of traffic.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner, B Dayananda,Joint Commissioner Of Police Traffic,MN Anucheth,DCP Traffic West,Anitha B Haddanavar,has appreciated Kamakshipalya Traffic Police Inspector Yogesh and his team for cleaning the gravel stones from the whole stretch for the safety of general public and has won hearts of general public for their immense work all the officers and staff will be rewarded for the same he added.
