Parapanna Agrahara police are on manhunt for a man who fake a kidnap story to extort Rs.1.2 lakhs from youth family

The parappana agrahara police are on the massive manhunt for a man who fake a kidnap story to extort Rs 1.2 lakh from the family of a youth on Tuesday.

The accused made a call to the Vijaya nayar informing him that his relative presently staying in Madhya Pradesh had been abducted and in their custody.

Shocked victim when tried to react the accused demanded Rs.3 lakh for his release and asked to transfer the same.

The family followed his instructions and transferred Rs. 1.2 lakh without even checking the details.

Soon after the money transferred the family called their relative in Madhya Pradesh to realise he was safe and sound .

Realising that they have been cheated the family filed a complaint with the police .

Based on the complaint the police have registered a case under IT act and also under impersonation and cheating.

Police said that the victim without cross checking with their relative in MP and transferred the money probe is on .
