Cab driver booked for assaulting and humiliating private firm employee while ferrying him from Airport to Koramangala over trivial row

A 37-year-old private firm employee was assaulted and humiliated by a cab driver while ferrying him from airport to Koramangala over a trivial row on Tuesday night .

The victim,Mohit Kher had hired the taxi from Ola zone of Kempegowda international airport for NGV, Koramangala.

Senior officer told reporters,On the way the driver later identified as Devraj Naik,25,took a detour and driving on isolated road.

Worried Kher travelling with his family asked the driver to take the mian road but the driver refused stating that he neither have fast tag nor hard cash to pay at the toll.

Argument ensued when Kher asked him to get back and drop them to Ola zone.Enraged driver stopped the car in the middle of the road assaulted him and dumped the luggage before fleeing the spot.

The driver even verbally abused and threatened father of Kher when he tried to intervene.

Kher managed to reach the airport and filed a complaint with the police.

Based on the complaint,the police have registered a case of assault and offenses against public tranquility and peace against the driver for further investigation.
