The Lokayukta officials on Monday arrested Geologist with mines and geology department in Chikkaballapura while accepting a bribe of Rs.35,000 from a businessman for an official favour .
The accused Chethan was booked under Prevention of Corruption act and taken into custody for further investigation.
The accused had demanded Rs.1 lac from Sanjay Krishna to issue technical report to recommend granite mining lease .
He had taken Rs.25,000 as advance and caught red handed while accepting the second installment of Rs.35,000.
