More than 1.25 Lakhs cases of faulty number plates booked in 2023,among 22 booked under cheating for masking registration number plate across city in 3 months by BTP

T he Airport traffic police have arrested a 34-year-old private firm employee for masking the registration number plate of his motorcycle .

Based on a complaint received on the social media account of the traffic police,the police track down the accused identified as Sudhir Kumar and handed him over to Mahadevapura police along with the motorcycle for further investigations.

Senior officer told reporters,Sudhir Kumar is among the 22 people booked for masking the number plates in different parts of the city .

The traffic police have launched a special drive and booked 1,13,517 cases against Defective Number Plates and 1535 cases against vehicles owners plying without Number Plates.

The drive will continue to book the errant motorists who deliberately masked the visibility of number of plates or tamper them with a malafide intention of misleading the enforcement cameras and officers he added.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,B Dayananda, has appreciated Joint CP Traffic,MN Anucheth,DCPs,as, Kuldeep Kumar R Jain,Sachin Ghorpade,Shivaprakash Devaraju,and Anitha B Haddanavar and their whole team as ACPs,PIs,and their special squads who has done a tremendous job in nabbing the defaulters who used to mask the registration number plate to hoodwink cops and avoid fines from Enforcement cameras and ITMS camera and violate traffic rules a Special reward will be given to whole team he added.
