He was speaking at the launch of Buddha Nagarjuna’s Shoonyayana book written by P.Mallesh today.

*Prof.Nanjundaswamy and Mallesh are reason for obsession for politics.

Prof. Nanjundaswamy and P.Mallesh are the reason behind my obsession for politics.Mallesh was a mentor to youngsters like me and wanted us to prosper.

He used to guide us to be honest and committed in politics.Politically we had a close friendship. The CM noted that P.Mallesh had the courage to point out mistakes.

No hatred or jealousy

The Chief Minister recalled an interesting incident about an invitation he received from Mallesh for dinner. They ended up fighting with each other over an issue.

The CM said that even though they fought he had his dinner and then left Mallesh’s house.Mallesh spoke to him the very next day and did not harbor any hatred or jealousy in his mind.No one should go through injustice in Indian society. He said that Mallesh used to be in the forefront to protect the interest of the affected people.

CM Siddaramaiah also recollected about his association with Mallesh, and their acquaintance in 1971.

Tejaswi,Ananthamurthy,T.N.Nagaraj,Mallesh and other prominent writers attended the study circle held every Monday in the canteen of Maharaja College,he said.

A secular man:

The Chief Minister narrated interesting incidents about the movements that took place during the Emergency in the nation.

Mallesh worked hard for democracy, social justice, constitution, justice for all.The people who would approach Mallesh were belonging to low caste.

Urge for Sampoorna kraanti:

To keep the country united,to save Democarcy in Karnataka and to eliminate hate politics,Rahul Gandhi as well as P.Mallesh wanted me to become the CM for another term.Mallesh was harsh in his words.

He always had the urge for Sampoorna Kranti-Total Revolution which was advocated by JP.He would not stop participating in movements’despite facing several problems.

He was an honest man and used to encourage young political aspirants.Mallesh was a man who practiced what he preached, the CM said.

CM Suggests to buy and read buying and reading the book:

Mallesh could have written many books.Since he gave much of his time to movements,he could not write much.

Though he was interested in literature and writing,he was devoted to socialism, culture, language and would involve himself in movements relating to them. The CM gave a call that everyone must buy the book and read.
