he Girinagar police on Saturday arrested a bike lifter and recovered 20 bikes worth Rs.11.5 lakh from him.
The accused Lakshman is a habitual offender and chronic alcoholic.
He was arrested in a similar offence and after coming out on bail he started stealing two wheelers to arrange money for his alcohol.
The accused according to the police would remove the parts of the bike and sell them to buy liquor.
The accused was involved in 15 two wheeler theft cases reported in and around the city.
