BMTC bus mows down two a garment factory worker and realtor to death in 24 hours drivers held

A 20-year-old garment factory worker was killed when a speeding BMTC bus knocked her down on Arakere main road in Hulimavu on Saturday,

The victim,Veena,native of Shivamogga and living in a rented house in Janata colony in Hulimavu gate was working in Shahi Garments.

She was crossing the road to go to work when speeding bus driven by Lourdswamy,50,knocked her down and dragged her body for few yards,until passers-by raised alarm to stop the bus.

Veena sustained severe head injuries and killed on the spot.Based on the complaint filed by Manjunath,cousin of Veena,the Hulimavu traffic police booked Lourdswamy,charging him under death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving for further investigations.

In a similar incident,a 45-year-old realtor was killed when a speeding BMTC bus knocked him down on Govindaraja Nagar main road on Sunday morning 8.30 am.

The deceased Kumar,was returning home from market when the bus knocked down his motorcycle.Kumar sustained head injuries and killed on the spot .

The Vijayanagar traffic police have registered a death due to negligence case against the driver and arrested him for further investigations.

On October 14,21-year-old engineer student Gangadhar, was killed by speeding BMTC bus while his friend riding the scooter injured near flower market in Yshwanthpura.

Gangadhar a resident of Kamalanagar.He was heading to HAL to get a certificate of internship,which he had completed recently

On October 6,Bharath Reddy,24,a private firm employee was killed when a BMTC bus knocked him own on MS Palya while he was negotiating the bad patch of road as speeding on his bike from MS Palya towards in Yelahanka.
