Under secretary to Governor,Rajbhavan has filed a complaint against unknown person circulating fake appointment letter of syndicate member for Bengaluru north university.
The forgery came to light when former officer with the state secretariate,called the complainant N Shivakumar seeking clarification about the appointment of syndicate members.
Mr.Shivakumar asked details following which she sent a whatsapp forward note containing the appointment letter duly signed by him appointing L.Sathyanarayana as the syndicate member.
Shocked to see his forged signature, Mr. Shivakumar brought it to the notice of his higher authorities before filing a complaint with the Vidhana Soudha police on Thursday.
The police have registered a case of forgery and asked for more details to further investigations.
Initial probe revealed that it was whatsapp forward being circulated to many right now the investigations will be to ascertain the source of the letter generated from the mobile number, a senior officer, said .
