Four armed men in two bikes looted Vinayaka Jewellers in Byadarahalli by opening fire at owner before fleeing and made away with over 1 kg gold valuables

A gang of four armed men barged into Vinayaka Jewellers situated in Byadarahalli main road under Byadarahalli police station limits and opened fire at the owner before fleeing with one kilos of gold Valuables

on Thursday.

Senior officer along with other officers and staff with Dog Squad and FSL experts rushed to the spot and after inspecting the spot and collecting information DCP Girish S said,Today at approximately 10:45 am 4 people in two bikes entered Vinayaka jewellers shop and have committed robbery of gold ornaments weighing around 1 kg.

One of them has shot the owner in the thigh.He is taking treatment at a hospital and is out of danger.

The owner of the shop identified as Manoj was busy with routine work when the gang armed with lethal weapons entered the shop and demanded him to hand over the valuables.

Manoj tried to resist the robbery following which one of them fired at him injuring his leg while other started to rob the valuables.

Manoj continue to resist and chased them but the gang soon fled leaving behind one of the bike behind.

The Byadarahalli police rushed to the spot and initiated verifying CCTV footage to identify the accused .

THe victim was shifted to hospital and said to be out of danger. We have formed three special team and we have some clues and working on it he added.
