Bhumana Karunakara Reddy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Tirupati, stated that it has been decided to spend one percent of the budget of Tirupati every year for the development of Tirupati.

Today, Tirupati: Bhumana Karunakara Reddy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Tirupati, stated that it has been decided to spend one percent of the budget of Tirupati every year for the development of Tirupati. Several decisions were taken in the meeting of the board of trustees chaired by Chairman Thithide at Tirumala Annamayya Bhavan on Monday. Later, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy spoke with Thithide Evo Dharma Reddy. He said that it has been decided to organize Anunityam Yajna under the name of ‘Shrisrinivasa Divyanugrah Vishesh Homam’ in the Sapthagopradakshina hall at Alipiri at the foot of Srivari. Hindu devotees from all over the world are said to be giving an opportunity to vow upon themselves for the blessings of Swami on their auspicious events and special days. Some other decisions taken in the meeting.  

  • Construction of food centers, toilets, Narayangiri rest house, two foot over bridges at Alwar tank road circle on permanent basis in ORR at a cost of Rs.18 crores on Gogarbham Dam side
  • A proposal to the Center to award Padma Shri to Garimella Balakrishna Prasad, a scholar of Thithide’s court.
  • Approval of tenders for construction of third floor of Narayangiri canteen and other development works at a cost of Rs.2.93 crores to provide quality food at low cost to devotees
  • The salary of 5 thousand sanitation workers in Thitide is Rs. 17 thousand as in municipal corporations. Salary increment of three percent per annum to the employees working through Srilakshmi Srinivasa Manpower. 3% incentive every two years for employees working through multiple societies. It will come into force from October 2023. Rs 2 lakh compensation in case of death of those employed by the corporation. Applicability of health scheme in hospitals in Tithida to workers not covered by ESI
  • Renovation of 13 Rest Houses like Gayatri Sadan, Srivari Kutir, TBC-53, TBC-64 etc. built 63 years ago in Tirumala under Cottage Donation Scheme
  • The strength of the temples and gopuras of Tithide will be examined with IIT experts. Appropriate action will be taken based on the report.
  • It is a rule that only Bhakti songs should be performed by the music vibhava during the wedding in Thithide Kalyana Mandapa
  • Parking facility for buses and other vehicles of distant devotees at Alipiri in 11.34 acres. Rs.21.60 crore sanctioned for construction of queue lines, toilets and sheds for devotees who get darshan tokens at BT roads, Bhudevi complex.
