Vivek Ramaswamy, who is running for the Republican nomination, has announced that if he wins the 2024 election, he will eliminate 75 percent of the people working in the central government and close many organizations such as the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation).

Washington: Vivek Ramaswamy (38), a person of Indian descent who is running for the US presidential nomination on behalf of the Republican Party, has made several key proposals in the primary competition. He claimed that if he wins the 2024 elections, he will fire 75 percent of the people working in the central government. He also said that he will shut down many organizations like the FBI. Speaking in an interview given to an American news agency, Vivek said that departments like the Department of Education and the FBI are his targets.

Vivek Ramaswamy stated that he would target the Department of Education, FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, IRS (Internal Revenue Services), and Commerce Departments. We will start work from the first day of coming into power, and we expect to fire 50 percent of the employees by the end of the year. However, it should be remembered that 30 percent of these employees will retire in the next five years, said Vivek Ramaswamy. Although the number looks big, there is no doubt about it. Vivek Ramaswamy stated that their aim is to reduce 75 percent of the existing 22 lakh employees in the next four years.

'In order to complete this work... many misconceptions rooted in advisers and superiors will have to be faced. It is similar to working in a company. HR department cannot make any rules without telling the CEO. The federal government works the same way. From Ronald Reagan to Donald Trump, who worked as presidents, they had the same idea. Vivek Ramaswamy stated that I give credit to Donald Trump who has taken extensive measures in this regard.

There are currently 22.5 lakh employees in the US federal sector. If 75 percent of them are removed, 16 lakh people will have to be evicted. That will save thousands of crores of dollars in the budget. But, the New York Times said that the government’s vital activities will also be shut down. As such, Vivek Ramaswamy has won the support of many people with several key proposals in the recent primary contests. In the poll conducted later, 504 people gave their response.. out of which 28 percent named Ramaswamy as the best. Florida Governor DeSantis (27 percent), former Vice President Mike Pence (13 percent), and Indian-origin Nikki Haley (7 percent) followed.
