Today, Amaravati: DesignTech Systems Founder Chairman, MD Vikas Khanwilkar has clarified that there is no corruption in the Siemens project.. It is only a matter of service tax. They concluded that they did not give any money not only to Chandrababu but to anyone else and that it was transferred through shell companies is untrue. They said that they have supplied the equipment as per the contract and if auditors are sent they will provide all the details with receipts. The Forensic Audit Organization and CID reports are riddled with errors and the allegations in it have no strength. He said that the arrest of the then Chief Minister Chandrababu Babu in a related case was painful. They explained that they were not contacted by the investigating agencies in the case. A video with details about the project has been released. After Modi became the Prime Minister, he visited the Siemens training center as part of his visit to Germany. He felt that there are good opportunities for skill development in India. As part of that, skill development projects have been established.

Seeing the pattern in Gujarat..

As part of the agreement with Siemens, we have undertaken the first project in Gujarat. We have set up five skill development centers. It was very successful there. Later, many states came forward to implement the Siemens project and approached us. At that time, a group of senior officials of the secretary level of the Andhra Pradesh government examined the model project being implemented by the Gujarat government. Talked to principals, faculties, students and director of colleges. Later, discussions were held between Andhra Pradesh, Siemens and Designtech companies. In Andhra Pradesh, the AP government has decided to provide training related benefits to diploma and ITI students as well as graduate students. It is planned to serve in six clusters through centers of excellence and skill development institutions. ‘Siemens software has been provided to prestigious educational institutions in the form of in-grant. It has been given to Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh in the country,” he said.

Labs with an area of 2.50 lakh sq.ft

Khanveelkar said that many colleges have come forward for the implementation of the project and the government has formed a committee to select the centers. According to the rules, we have selected 40 centers with proper location and facilities. As soon as the places were identified, we supplied the equipment and started setting up the labs. “We have set up 286 state-of-the-art labs in 30 areas with an area of 2.50 lakh square feet,” he explained. As part of the contract, even if the equipment is in poor condition, repairs are taken.

Supply of equipment in 50 trucks:According to the agreement, equipment worth Rs.371 crore has been supplied to the centres. We have sent 50 trucks of material to different places and installed it. Later we trained 2.14 lakh people by centers and courses. 75,000 of them got jobs. We have also provided training to the employees of Kia Motors according to their needs. We have been operating for four years. Appreciating our performance, AP Skill Development Corporation has given us a letter. Khanveelkar expressed his grief that they are damaging the reputation of their company in the market with false allegations and they are being punished for what they did not do. They said that they gave all the details only when it appeared in the press. It is said that Rs. 241 crores and Rs. 300 crores have been diverted. There is not a single complaint against the centers. He clarified that there is no scope for fraud in this.

There is no chance of looting: Khanveelkar said that there is no truth in the allegations leveled against them. “It is only a matter of service tax. No GST. Our seller did not deposit the tax. It is not our responsibility.’ DesignTech MD clarified that there is no possibility of exploitation in the project and they have not paid any amount to anyone. The project has receipt-wise details of all expenses related to services and products. It is not correct that the funds were transferred through shell companies.
