A woman software engineer working in the city has complained to the city police on the social media account alleging that she was the victim of love jihad and the her male friend harassed her for for conversion and even cheated her promising to marry and taken money.
The victim complaint has created a ripple effect as many people started sharing her tweet to amplify.The victim in her tweet said that “victim of love jihad, rape, un-natural sex and forceful religious conversion kindly provide me police help in Bangalore immediately as my life is in danger ( sic) “..
Taking a note, the city police social media wing,asked the victim to contact the police for further action.
The Jurisdictional Bellanduru police on Thursday contacted her and inquired.However the victim is yet to file a formal complaint in this regard.
We are waiting for her to approach us for a complaint so that we have some details about the allegation to take necessary action, a senior officer, said .
