Ramnagar:Cab driver arrested for stabbing PU student for declining his proposal

A PU student was stabbed by a cab driver at the college campus for declining his proposal in Ramanagara town on Monday morning.

The victim,(Sanjana),pursuing second PU at women’s college was walking into the campus along with her friends when the accused waiting in the car confronted her .

Before she could realize the accused,DN Chethan attacked her with knife.The victim sustained two cut injuries on shoulder and neck collapsed while profusely bleeding.The accused dragged her in the car and sped away.

The other students who are shocked by this for few seconds later tried to stop the fleeing accused by pelting stones but in vain.

They later informed the police who swung into action and rushed to a private hospital where the accused had taken the victim.

The police arrested the accused and taken him into custody for questioning.Senior police officials visited the hospital and the victim is in ICU and said to be critical .

The police have registered a case of attempt to murder, abduction and also invoked sections under POCSO act since the victim said to be under aged said a senior officer.
