MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha countered Telangana BJP President and Union Minister Kishan Reddy’s comments on the tickets announced by Bharata as the target of the upcoming assembly elections.

Hyderabad: MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha countered Telangana BJP President and Union Minister Kishan Reddy’s comments on the tickets announced by Bharata targeting the upcoming assembly elections. “The ruling BJP at the Center has cheated twice on women’s reservations. Why did the BJP not pass the Women’s Bill despite its numerical strength? BJP should bring reservation bill for women in legislature. 14 lakh women got representation in local bodies because of the law. Don’t tie your political insecurity to women’s representation,” Kavitha said.

What is Kishan Reddy?

Union Minister Kishan Reddy said that with the increasing support of BJP in the state day by day, Chief Minister KCR is worried. Looking at the list of candidates released by Bharasa, CM KCR seems to have understood that he will not come to power this time, he said in a statement. It is clear that CM KCR has accepted the election defeat by giving seats to the majority of the sitting MLAs. It seems that KCR has decided to contest from Kamareddy in North Telangana along with Gajwel out of fear of BJP. Those who campaigned for 33% reservation for women in Lok Sabha gave only 7 seats to women in Telangana. 33 percent means seven seats?” asked Kishan Reddy.
