Hyderabad: Congress attempt to besiege GHMC office.. tension

Activists under the auspices of the Congress party took up agitation in Hyderabad seeking to help the flood victims.

Hyderabad: Activists under the auspices of the Congress party have taken up agitation in Hyderabad seeking to help the flood victims. They staged a protest from Gunpark in the city to the GHMC office. They tried to besiege the GHMC office. Former MP Anjankumar Yadav, Anil Yadav, Vijaya Reddy along with a large number of activists gathered and raised slogans against the government of India. 

The leaders expressed their anger that people are facing severe problems due to flood water entering the colonies due to rains. They demanded to pay compensation of Rs.10 thousand to the flood victims. There was tension at the GHMC office as the police stopped the activists. In this order, many leaders and activists got into an argument. Vijaya Reddy and several activists tried to climb the main gate of the GHMC office. Later, several chief leaders were allowed inside to present the petition to the authorities.

 

Appointment of leaders in the Commissioner’s office

Congress leaders protested against the behavior of GHMC Commissioner Ronald Ross. They alleged that when they went to deliver the petition, he refused to take it. With this, senior leaders Mallu Ravi, V. Hanumantha Rao (VH), Kodanda Reddy, Vijaya Reddy and others gathered in front of him and raised slogans against the commissioner.
