Lokayukta police chase and nabs corrupt food inspector in Bengaluru after 15 km dramatic chase for accepting bribe from trader

I n a filmi style,Lokayukta officials chased and caught a food inspector who was fleeing away in a vehicle after accepting a bribe from a trader.

The accused Mahanthe Gowda B Kadabalu working at KG road circle had demanded a bribe of Rs.1 lakh to check trade license and accepted 43,000 in advance on Saturday.

When the lokayukta officials led by inspector Srikanth S, tried to catch him red handed,the accused sped away in a car.

But the official chased the car for about 15 kilometres and managed to intercept the car near sondekoppa road in Nelamangala.

Kadabalu even tried to run over the vehicle on witnesses and officials in a bid to escape but the officials managed to pin him down by blocking his car.

The officials seized Rs.43,000 bribe amount from the accused and arrested him under Prevention of Corruption act he was also booked under assault on public servant from discharge of his duties at Nelamangala police station.
