First ever biggest drug haul seized by Bengaluru CCB Duo peddlers among MBA student held,Inter-state drug racket busted recovered 1.5 tonnes Marijuana Worth Rs.12 Crore

The Central Crime Branch officials of Women protection wing along with Anti-Narcotics Wing busted an interstate drug racket and arrested two peddlers one among them is a MBA student,and recovered 1500 kilos of Marijuana worth Rs.12 crore from them.

The accused according to the police used to smuggle the drugs in a specially designed goods truck which has a specially designed hidden compartment to conceal the consignment.

The accused even used cartoon box belonging to online commercial marketing company to hoodwink the checks,Dr.SD.Sharanappa,Joint commissioner of Police, ( CCB),said .

The accused even changed the registration number plates in the vehicle and puted fake registeration number plates to avoid attention of the police at the border areas .

The racket came to light when a team of officials led by ACP,Reena Suvarna,Inspectors,as,Chandrakala,Durga R,and other officials caught a 22-year-old local peddler identified as Salman Pasha red handed at Mysore road toll gate on June 22 .

Based on his information,a team of police camped and worked for three weeks to track down the accused .

The accused were sourcing the drugs from their contacts in Vishakhapatnam in AP and smuggle into the city in a specially designed vehicle with secret compartment in a truck .

The prime accused hailed from Rajasthan pursuing MBA while his associate is a BA graduate from AP.

The duo was consumers who later started peddling drugs using their contacts to make quick money.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,B Dayananda, has appreciated Joint CP Crime,Dr.SD Sharanappa,DCP crime-1,Yatish Chandra,ACP, Reena Suvarna,PIs,as,Chandrakala,Durga R, and other officers and staff has been appreciated for the exemplary and meticulous investigation done by them in nabbing the duo peddlers after camping in Andhra Pradesh and followed their every movements for about three weeks helped in seizing a first ever biggest drug haul of 1.5 tonnes Marijuana Worth Rs.12 Crore a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
