A 21-year-old motorcycle rider and his colleague riding pillion were killed when the bike they were riding collided with a electric pole situated on centre median on Magadi road on Tuesday night.
The deceased Mohan Kumar,working in recycling unit and his colleague Chandru HN,were returning home from work at around 11.50 pm, when the accident occurred.
Senior officer told reporters the duo was not wearing helmet and Mohan Kumar was riding in rash and negligent manner.He lost control over the bike near college gate bus stop and crashed into the electric pole .
Passers-by found the duo in a pool of blood and rushed them to a near-by hospital where the doctors declared them as brought dead.
The Kamakshipalya traffic police have registered a case of self accident and awaiting post mortem report to ascertain whether Mohan Kumar was under any intoxication.
