This is the actual situation.

It has been two and a half years since Chief Minister Jagan gave this promise. Officials claim that thousands of beneficiaries have already paid their share at the rate of Rs.50 thousand and Rs.1 lakh even when he made this promise. Hearing the words of Jagan, the beneficiaries waited with the hope that they would get the subsidy amount that the government would bear. Two and a half years have passed, but still the payment of the money has not been made. For this, Rs.170 crores have to be released.

Chief Minister Jagan Ditta in promoting ‘Le nidi as… as if there is no’. This is evidenced by the non-implementation of the Chief Minister’s announcement regarding subsidy for TIDCO houses. The government, which has announced a 50% subsidy to the beneficiaries, is planning to return the amount to those who have paid cash in advance. On the other hand, they are making loud announcements that the government is bearing this burden. This is mirrored by the government’s negligence towards the poor. The government has to release another Rs.160 crore paid by the beneficiaries who were declared ineligible for various reasons and whose houses were canceled before the guarantee of subsidy.

No payment for canceled houses…

While the TDP government undertook the construction of 3.14 lakh TIDCO houses, after Vaikapa came to power, it cut 52 thousand houses and considered only 2.62 lakh houses. Many of these 52 thousand beneficiaries have already paid their entire share to the government. The government that canceled those houses did not focus on returning the amount they had built. About Rs.110 crores are to be returned to these beneficiaries. They have been waiting for this cash for four years. ‘Aren’t they poor? Does Jagan, who repeats his speeches ‘Na SC, Na ST, Na BC, Na Minority’, not know that there are people from these social groups in it? Criticisms are pouring in. Those poor people who have been waiting for a house for years are not able to find a nest…they are facing a desperate situation after paying the hard earned amount for the house.

Mass dismissal in the name of unfit

After assuming power, the Vaikapa government removed many beneficiaries by declaring them ineligible for housing grants in the name of six-step verification process. There are allegations that TDP sympathizers have been removed from the list of beneficiaries showing this reason. During the distribution of Tidco houses in Gudivada, while CM Jagan was going in a helicopter, the women protested by flying black balloons saying that the deserving ones were removed. Along with those who were evicted, changes were made in the lists saying that some houses in Jagananna Colony had been purchased. There are thousands of such people in total. Most of them paid money to Tidco in advance. This amount is up to Rs.50 crores. The government did not even pay the money they paid.

MLAs clash in ‘Gadapa, Gadapa’

The Vaikapa MLAs who went to the villages as part of the ‘Gadapa Gadapaku’ program met with protest from the beneficiaries as the government did not pay the subsidy amount to the TIDCO beneficiaries and the cash they paid to those who were removed from the list. Beneficiaries in many places complained to the MLAs that even after years, they are not returning the money they paid. Some MLAs put pressure on the government and made arrangements to pay cash in some places. This amount is known to be up to 17 crores. Officials have already reported to the government several times about the payment of the remaining amount, but there is no result.
