DP chairman Abdul Nasser Madani,accused in 2008 Bengaluru blast case and presently on bail,left to his native Anwarsseri in Kollam to visit his ailing father along with the police security on Monday.
Though Madani was on bail he was directed by the court that he should not leave Bengaluru till the trial is completed.
Meanwhile the Supreme Court in April this year granted him permission to visit his ailing father and for his personal treatment for a period for nearly three months.
The SC order also stated that Madani should bear the security expenses provided by the Karnataka police .
The BJP government in Karnataka when he approached with the order seeking police security cover,the government gave him a bill of Rs.60 lakh towards the cost of the security personnel which includes salary and other expenses .
Unable to bear the expenses Madani again approached the court seeking some concession but the petition was dismissed on the grounds that the court will not interfere and asked him to contact the government directly .
However after much deliberations Madani using his political clout from his home state approached the present congress government and paid Rs.6.7 lakh towards security cover expenses for the remaining 12 days visit which according to the schedule till July 8.
He along with his wife and other family members left with a security cover comprising of a RSI,three PCs and a driver .
A senior police officer is coordinating the travel plan and communicating with the Kerala police for further security arragements.
